With the final day in London, we decided to take things easy. I went shopping along the trendy area of town, Carnaby Street, and found unique boutiques by local designers. Now this was tough to resist, but knowing that if I had bought anything I would have to carry it on my back for the next five months, I simply just looked. Taking note of all the great stores in London since in December I will have to come back and fly home from Heathrow.
The afternoon took us to the Tate Modern, and I could careless what people say, it's not worth the visit! I refuse to agree that placing a chair in the middle of an empty room is art. All the "deep" and "meaningful" write ups by the artists sound all like a bunch of BS to me.
The afternoon was rain, rain and more rain.
Oh and before heading into the museum, I spent the better part of the afternoon walking around with my shorts RIPPED. Not only was it wet, it was COLD! Definitely a "shortage" of excitement walking across the Thames River to find myself a pair of shorts in the Financial District of London! This all happened because I attempted to take the following picture, thinking I was able to pull off a Falling Leaf like Michelle Kwan.. sigh...
Anyway, 40 Pounds later, I find myself walking across the Millennium Bridge.
We capped the night off with a meal at a local Chinese restaurant. Mmmmm RICE!
