We set out from London, bags packed again.
We hopped onto a bus from London, destination, Paris.
The bus was your typical tour bus, tight and narrow. I managed to score two seats to myself and the trick was to not make any eye contact, sit on the outside seat, place your backpack on the inner seat, and play with your phone with headphones on as people walked by looking for seats =)
I didn't pay too much attention to the drive itself. After a couple hours, we arrived at what seemed to be the ferry terminal, but without a ferry. French border guards came onboard and took our passports to stamp.
Now, this might surprise you, but what happens when you go under the English Channel, you get stuffed into train cart, like stuffing a sausage! Our bus, along with all other vehicles, drove onto what was a platform for trains, and then curved and parked itself into a cart! With perhaps three feet clearance on either sides, we were packed in.
After a few minutes, you begin to feel some wobbling. Without any windows to look out, I sat there, on the bus, playing Bejeweled. The transport lasted 30 or so minutes, I was then, officially on the continent of Europe!
